Inspired by the wings of monarch butterflies, these earrings are handwoven using reds and oranges with black and white edging. The beadwork is suspended from scraps of chain to add length and movement.
To create these earrings, I used cylindrical Japanese glass beads called Delicas. The tiny beads are woven into a diamond shape that measures 1-and-1/4 inch at its widest point. These lightweight earrings are about 2-and-1/4 inches in length and have lead-safe and nickel-free gunmetal ear wires.
